- Own the creation, launch, and success of new features and enhancements to existing features on Ning's "Your Own Social Network for Anything"
Location
Full-time in Palo Alto, CA
Responsibilities
- Establish short and long-term goals and strategies for the features you own
- Initiate and guide features through the entire development process e.g. inception, elaboration, construction, transition
- Define specs and schedule, drive implementation, and track usage and success
- Work closely with engineering and design to determine technical and design solutions, prioritize work, and build schedule
- Hands-on flushing out of bugs and usability problems, then ensure that we fix them
- Rapidly iterate features based on usage and feedback from Network Creators
Qualifications
- Passionate about creating great software that people use
- Experience developing and launching new online services
- Intuitive sense for feature design: ability to think through every aspect of the experience and make good decisions
- General understanding of web technologies (e.g. AJAX, CSS, Flash, Streaming Media), how they're implemented/served, and how they fit together
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and pace. Thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
- BA/BS degree. Please no MBAs.
